Today, some have tried to surgically separate the teachings of Jesus from those of the disciples. In effect, they eliminate all the New Testament save for the four Gospel stories. Some prefer the teachings of Jesus without the complications the Epistles bring to Christianity.

But Juneteenth 2025 commemorates a special day for all Jewish people because it celebrates an event that Christians will never entirely understand. While most Christians dwell in the “New Testament,” we should read and fully appreciate the Book of Esther.

The Holy Spirit is subject to the individual and can be patient and wait its turn to share with the assembly. God is not of disorder but promotes peace.This is all good and informative until we reach verse 33. Suddenly, we are told that women should be silent in the churches.

Wow! Why did I think the response would be a prequel to “The Terminator”? I looked for a drone circling overhead. But the sky was clear. And none of my bank accounts were frozen. No sixes appeared on my right hand or forehead.

People didn’t live as long as they used to. By the time we get to Abraham, life spans were significantly lowered. Only God knows everyone's age, there is no way in the world we could possibly know the oldest people still alive, what their ages are, and when they passed.

Your first reaction to a prayer request and your action says a lot about you and your relationship with God. 

What if a Hebrew didn’t obey? God often asks us to do peculiar things to differentiate us from the rest of the world and reveal Himself as sovereign. We MUST understand the Exodus to become plague-proof for the end of this age. They are the same story, only 4,000 years apart.

I wanted to write Psalms 23 in a way so that when people read it, they see the beauty and meaning behind every translated word chosen for this prayer. And when they pray it next, it is not the mindless chant that it has become in churches. 

I studied both evolution and creationism in high school, and while I admit to not enjoying evolution, it has helped me defend my own beliefs to others better.

The stranger had arranged the full cost to be covered at his expense. He further asked to take total responsibility.........

People come to faith at different points in their lives, creating levels of maturity and understanding that communities need to navigate.

Where is this climate crisis they all scream about? I love how it goes out the window when politicians want the resources.

We often look at many things in our lives as Christians to see that we are in line with God. How many look at the food you consume though? Is it in line with what God tells us here?

I looked into this because I saw a post with a simple question about something in the Bible. I got the impression they were a new Christian, and the question was simple. They were asking about Noah and something to the effect of if we thought he took eggs onto the ark in some cases to save space.

There was a combination of cultures already being biased, superstitions, a serious lack of critical thinking, misreading of Scripture, and a

“Write about bears!” lol. So here I am, checking out lions, tigers, and bears in the Bible.

I’m going to discuss something I haven’t touched on before, I had the opportunity to have a conversation with a young lady about her personal experiences during the pandemic since she was in school at the time. 

I propose that our country and, specifically, our children, have gone through a trauma. Then layer that with the constant warning signs everywhere, being treated like a walking contagion, apps that connected you with infection rates in your area giving out alerts, businesses going out, non-stop social media posts, death tolls up on every news station, and being blocked from even participating in holidays, birthdays, weddings, or funerals. 

Nagging in the back of my head was this feeling that I answered wrong, that I needed to rethink my response, and why I responded that way. And you betcha I rethought my response, and it was an intense moment of realization, faith, and repentance.

I have learned many things and unlearned many things. Been corrected both gently and not so gently by God, and that’s fine by me.
