The How-To's & Guidelines for Contributing.

I am looking for new and original work, and new revisions are also welcome.

You can be a one-time contributor or contribute regularly.

For those who are cross-posting a new article, here's what that entails: it must be within 1 week of publishing the original. Include the publication name (if any), the platform, and link it. (examples)

You can also submit a revised version of a previously published article, but it truly needs to be a rework. Include that it is a revision, where it was first published, the platform (if any) with that linked, and the date. (examples), Please send me a link to the original in your draft for me to review.

Titles for anything already online will need a title/subtitle tweak, I require this because Google will see it as a duplicate, possible plagiarism, or junk spam. This harms your work and this site, so please tweak titles/subtitles. I know this can be annoying, but I have been on the receiving end of SEO's when I didn't do this. You can also attach a note somewhere and I can tweak it for you.

Article Submissions- can be done either through email using a Word document or can also be shared using Google Docs. Whichever suits you best. Please include all relevant sources with working links, that is the responsibility of the writer. I will do my best to replicate your article layout, but please be aware that I will ultimately need to edit the layout to some degree.

I encourage all writers to link their personal blog or social media account to their name at the bottom of their article if they wish.  â€‹If you use a Ko-fi account or something similar, please feel free to share your linked tagline at the end of your article. (If there are no links, I will assume that's how you want it.)

All articles remain the property of the writer and will be © at the end of each article.

Images- Not required, but if submitted, up to 2 (jpg or png) and sourced. Unsourced and AI-generated images will not be published. (AI PolicyArchived articles will be set with the Faithful Writers Logo.

Editing- Titles are needed, but here, subtitles are optional.

Run your article through spell check, please. I will do some editing as needed, but will email you if the article requires additional work before it can be published.

AI-generated or assisted articles will not be published. (AI Policy)

My favorite food is potatoes. You'll need that and another word mixed in here somewhere to know the subject line when requesting to join. I have to do this so I know my guidelines have been read.

Length- Can be anywhere from 50 –1800 words and poems up to 150 words. If you have something lengthy and complex, you could split it into parts. (I do this a lot)

Select writers will be exempt from this rule, contact me with inquiries about this.

Publishing Time- Updated every 1-2 days. (subject to change depending on volume)

If something goes awry in my life, I will send out an email; even then, the delay in publishing time would only drop by a couple of days, not completely come to a halt.

My Considerations When Publishing - Some publications will publish everything sent in. There are several reasons why I may not publish every article sent in, and I reserve this right. I seek quality, thought-out, edited, Biblically supported, and, if the article requires, all sources used and linked for reference. If you do not see your article uploaded within a week, it wasn't accepted.

Unbiblical teachings, abortion, premarital sex, our current culture/identity crisis, and the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical books are a few examples of articles that I won’t publish if they are in support of. (Some may not like this, but there is a line and I won't cross it.)

If you are interested in contributing, you can contact me at contact.janeisley@gmail.com.

Tell me a little about yourself. Include your profile link(s), so I can review your work, and if you have reviewed the core beliefs. Use my favorite food and the color blue in your subject line. (email addresses are never shared)  Allow me a few days to review your work and get back to you. 💙

There is no monetary gain for contributing to Faithful Writers. This is an opportunity to share your work freely in a Christian publication, especially if you write on multiple topics in a variety of styles.

No unsolicited articles accepted.
