3–5: God offers up the first animal sacrifice on behalf of Adam and Eve
Two very important principles are established here. First, man of his own devisings cannot save himself. Second, the only suitable payment for sin is the shedding of innocent blood.

3–6: God Announces The Coming Of The Messiah To The Serpent
It is only because the Messiah has come and gone that we can now recognize the prophetic nature of these and other verses in Scripture. We tend to look down on the early Hebrews for being ignorant and not recognizing or paying heed to God’s prophetic statements.

My communion this Thursday I wish to share.
It wasn’t just His body that was crucified that day; it was also His heart, mind, and soul that were beaten, bloodied, and shredded.

Hardened Heart isn't just an Old Testament phrase.
There’s a system-wide failure happening; I always used to only think of this term in regards to Pharaoh and Moses. I never thought of its application in this modern age

“Father, please let me see people how you see them.”
This transformation in me probably makes no sense to some, is hard to fathom, and goes against our very human nature. I truly do understand that and the difficulty of reading what I am writing about.

Can a Christian have intrusive thoughts & still be a Christian?
I have dealt with intrusive thoughts since I was a child, it straight-up sucks. What's even more exhausting is the judgment I’ve gotten from people over the years, and to be completely honest — it’s one thing to get ignorant comments from a nonbeliever, but it’s a completely different story getting ignorant comments of any kind from a Christian when you too are a Christian.

Knowing the Right Thing and Actually Doing It?
Sometimes, doing the right thing means stopping mid-argument and saying, “You’re right.” It means giving up the need to win. Or walking across the room when you’d rather stay in your little safe corner.

Who Would You Rather Be?
Nagging in the back of my head was this feeling that I answered wrong, that I needed to rethink my response, and why I responded that way.
And you betcha I rethought my response, and it was an intense moment of realization, faith, and repentance.

Are we requested to repent, believe and obey or commanded?
Why can’t it be both? Maybe I’m wrong, but here are my thoughts. First, we are not puppets, we have free will to choose what we want.
