Smiling person with red hair and freckles, arms crossed, standing by a lake. Wears a dark shirt with a logo. Lush greenery in background.

Sean Corcoran grew up in Brisbane, Australia; where he still resides today. Growing up in the church, he always knew of God, and the promises for his life. It really wasn't until he turned 18, and found himself caught up in a gambling addiction that turned his world upside down, that he ever had to wrestle with his faith.

The next 8 years were punctuated by struggles with addiction, heart-break, and almost resulted in the loss of his life by his own hand. All these things forced him to question God, the church, and himself in ways he never expected.

Those questions, rather than tearing his faith apart, have made it stronger and more real. Now over 2 years abstinent from gambling, Sean writes openly about addiction, recovery, doubt, and grace—trying to be honest about the mess as well as the hope.
