1 Bullet Can't Silence the Gospel

Yesterday, we lost a powerful voice, Charlie Kirk. His death is not an end but the beginning of eternity for him, so let your heart be still; he is in paradise.

Still, here on Earth, we grieve. We cry. We feel the shock. And perhaps we need that, because it shakes us awake.

Many are asking, “Is this really what it has come to?” The answer is yes.

It was always leading here, and worse is yet to come. But Kirk never let fear silence him. He knew the cost of speaking truth, and still he kept going and pressed forward. He had a gift, and he surrendered that gift to God.

Through him, mountains moved, the Gospel spread, truth was spoken, and seeds were planted.

Today, however, I fear many will move past shock and grief and step into something darker.

Instead of calling for justice, they will cry out for revenge. Fingers will point. Slurs will be hurled, and unfortunately, I believe most will be by those who call themselves Christians.

But this is not what we are called to be or do. A lamp will not burn with anger or hatred fueling it.

Wrongs will never make a right.

I cried tonight.

I cried for the bright lamp extinguished too soon, leaving family and friends in sorrow.

I cried as I saw people online celebrating his death, so lost in their own world that they celebrated before his blood even had a chance to dry.

I cried even for the shooter, so consumed by hatred to commit murder.

That man, if caught, will face our justice system, and that is where it must end. Beyond that, judgment belongs to God alone.

So now the question comes to you: What will you do?

Will this be the wake-up call you need? The world desperately needs more lamps, more voices, more truth, more seeds planted. Ask the Father what He would have you do.

You have been given gifts. Use them to glorify God, bring people to His table, don’t deny anyone the gift we were ALL given on the cross that day.

Our time here is short. One way or another, your life will end. So make a choice today, follow Him or follow the world.

Don’t let one bullet stop you; let's be the next voice.
