“Be Still” The Answer We Don’t Always Want To Hear
I want to propose a different way of looking at “be still” for anyone struggling and waiting on God.

When you're to "real Christians" shouldn’t experience anxiety when talking to others about God.
Accepting Jesus does not automatically equate you to being the “perfect” evangelist or take away nerves or fear.

Lemons, Sugar, and 1 Corinthians.
We often look at many things in our lives as Christians to see that we are in line with God. How many look at the food you consume though?
Is it in line with what God tells us here?

Are we doing enough to protect ourselves against the risks that online anonymity can pose to our faith and well-being?
I looked into this because I saw a post with a simple question about something in the Bible.
I got the impression they were a new Christian, and the question was simple. They were asking about Noah and something to the effect of if we thought he took eggs onto the ark in some cases to save space.

Anxiety taking away your tomorrows?
Concern is natural; it’s a safety system set up by God. We can take that concern to God and seek help before anxiety takes over.

Cannibalism - Never thought this would be a discussion topic during a Bible study, but here we are.
He was led to believe at some point through an Evangelical church that 2 Kings 6:28-29 was proof that God condones us eating people. Yep, you read that right, all of us present had dropped jaws.
Now I’m not dinging this gentleman at all. He is currently in the process of trying to unlearn and learn new things from the Bible and about God. He’s doing exactly what he’s supposed to be doing, which is studying and asking a lot of questions.

Got curious about the whole “right hand of God” phrase.
There was a combination of cultures already being biased, superstitions, a serious lack of critical thinking, misreading of Scripture, and a

The church has discredited itself.
The church has discredited itself so many times; it’s insane. Do you know what nonbelievers see and why so many are driven away? Hypocrisy at its finest.

What was originally a word describing a group of people who followed Christ gathering together became a building to attend.

Mary really was a virgin, I promise.
I keep seeing this argument pop up, and I find it both obnoxious and very ignorant. The argument is that Mary wasn’t actually a virgin, and

Can a Christina have intrusive thoughts & still be a Christian?
I have dealt with intrusive thoughts since I was a child, it straight-up sucks. What's even more exhausting is the judgment I’ve gotten from people over the years, and to be completely honest — it’s one thing to get ignorant comments from a nonbeliever, but it’s a completely different story getting ignorant comments of any kind from a Christian when you too are a Christian.

Being told "God is “silent” during a storm."
Here’s the thing to realize: when you are in a storm, and in the back of your mind, you remember all those phrases said about God being silent. They are not all good and have the potential to worsen your loneliness and damage your relationship with God because you are thinking about it the wrong way.

The 2024 Olympic Disgrace.
For arguments sake, let's take religion out all together in this situation and just look at it from a human perspective - The whole thing was disgusting travesty. It doesn’t matter if it was blatant and intentional regarding the Last Supper, mixed in, or if it was “unintentional.” The whole thing was a disgusting display of what passes for a "norm" in society.

My testimony (part of it at least)
Her death saved my life, but despite what any many think, I have forgiven her & love her.
Growing up was difficult, to say the least, and very confusing at times because she was a Christian. I grew up reading the Bible, praying, knowing there was a God, and understanding many concepts in the Bible.

Who Would You Rather Be?
Nagging in the back of my head was this feeling that I answered wrong, that I needed to rethink my response, and why I responded that way.
And you betcha I rethought my response, and it was an intense moment of realization, faith, and repentance.

Are we requested to repent, believe and obey or commanded?
Why can’t it be both? Maybe I’m wrong, but here are my thoughts. First, we are not puppets, we have free will to choose what we want.
